Mahoney State Park is so much fun! It is a family tradition to go every summer with the extended family. There is so much to do and see. Beautiful river views, a lodge or dine(or stay) at, and a tower to view the whole park from. My favorite thing to do is the crafts. You buy a ceramic figure and they supply the paints and brushes. Not too expensive,and a great keepsake. Very highly reccomended.

This park has everything for the outsider, park lover! Amenenities include lodging, food service, camping, a swimming pool complex and a theater. The swimming pool complex has lots of slides and play space., not just your average pool. This is a great place for a summer family vacation. it is open year round .

Mahoney State Park is without a doubt the best park in Nebraska to take your family camping at. There is just so much to do to keep you occupied - swimming options include a wave pool and water slides, there is a miniature golf course, a stable with guided horseback trail rides, fishing, paddle boats, hiking, a ceramics shop..I could go on and on. It can be hard finding camping spaces during the summer, especially on holiday weekends, so call ahead and make a reservation. My family loves this place!
